God Bless Our Troops

Well don't I feel stupid. We have been getting ready for a craft show on Saturday the 18th of October - only it's not Saturday the 18th of October; it's Saturday the 25th of October. As I write this, the girls do not yet know of my gaffe. I don't know how I manage to do stuff like this. I've had it in my head that this show is on the 18th and it wasn't until I went to email Anna about setup times that I noticed my mistake.

Got up late this morning so it's going to be a scramble to get a short weight training workout in today.

Time: 18
Average heart rate: 115
Max heart rate:136

from last Wednesday (whoo hoo!)

Gospel
Memorial of Saint Teresa of Jesus, virgin and doctor of the Church
Lk 11:42-46
The Lord said:
“Woe to you Pharisees!
You pay tithes of mint and of rue and of every garden herb,
but you pay no attention to judgment and to love for God.
These you should have done, without overlooking the others.
Woe to you Pharisees!
You love the seat of honor in synagogues
and greetings in marketplaces.
Woe to you!
You are like unseen graves over which people unknowingly walk.”

Then one of the scholars of the law said to him in reply,
“Teacher, by saying this you are insulting us too.”
And he said, “Woe also to you scholars of the law!
You impose on people burdens hard to carry,
but you yourselves do not lift one finger to touch them.

Thoughts from the cornfield:
Do we know people like this? Are we, ourselves, like this?

God bless our troops!

I wish I wouldn't do stuff like that either. But i do. I've missed doctor's appointments, lunches, etc. because I could've sworn they were on the date I had in my head.

LOL! I heard a commercial that says we start to lose brain cells at age 30. Thank goodness I caught the mistake before we loaded up on Thursday night. Sheesh! I don't feel like I'm in my 50s but I sure have all the signs and symptoms.

50's? tell the truth mom. j/k
at least the mistake was that you thought it was the 18th instead of the 25th instead of thinking it was the 25th instead of the 18th. That would have been much worse.

Yeah, a mistake the other way would not have been good at all!
