I am having computer issues. One of the advantages of working in the media center is access to tech people I can trust with my machine. It is now in the competent hands of Corey, the computer whiz.

Daily stats:
Type: Treadmill
Route: Workout room

Time: 25
Average heart rate: 111
Maximum heart rate: 129
Up 3 pounds from last Wednesday

I am not obsessing about the 3 pounds I'm up from last Wednesday. I am sticking to the plan and creating a baseline for next week. When carbs are reintroduced as they were on Monday, there is often a lag time. That is why Wendy talks about a 72/48 hour cycle. In coming weeks Wendy allows food passes. I am taking Wendy's info about how the body uses nutrition and other info about carb cycling and constructing my own plan. I don't have all of the details worked out yet, but I'm getting there. I am expecting the scale to be down tomorrow. Last week when the scale went up it was followed by a lot of "water dumping" and a woosh the next day. We will see.

Word of the day

Wednesday of the Twenty-seventh Week in Ordinary TimeGospel
Lk 11:1-4

Jesus was praying in a certain place, and when he had finished,
one of his disciples said to him,
“Lord, teach us to pray just as John taught his disciples.”
He said to them, “When you pray, say:

Father, hallowed be your name,
your Kingdom come.
Give us each day our daily bread
and forgive us our sins
for we ourselves forgive everyone in debt to us,
and do not subject us to the final test.”

Thoughts from the cornfield:

Reconcilliation:
Thanksgiving:
Going forth:

It's all there.

God bless our troops!

I just go up and down the scale almost everyday. I can't get it to move in the direction I want—down.

It's going down this week, it's just that I don't have a baseline established for weigh-ins after a carb up day. My daily comparisons are always to the same day on the previous week. I was in a carb deplete last week. Carbs hold water. When the water goes, the weight will go back down.

I hope. :)

Hey Mom,
I'm really proud of you for all the weight you have lost on this plan so far, my concern is, why do you want to change it up so soon. That seems to be a trend for you and I think maybe if you stick it out for a few weeks the way she designed it, you might have better results. just my opinion. Did you see "loser" last night? I was thinking about why this seasons girls might be so much less into it than the other seasons. maybe it's because Jillian hasn't proven herself to be trustworthy yet. All she's done is yell at them and emotionally abuse them. Why should they trust what she says and want to please her?

Some of the changing has to do with blood sugar issues. I haven't totally committed to Wendy's plan because as I read the book, it is very confusing. If I can tailor a plan based on her science, I think I will do better in the long run. I do value your opinion very much - and you're right, I do tend to switch around a lot. But I think I may have hit on something that is going to work very well for me. Love you bunches, my Neener Beaner!

As for Jillian, I think they need to tone her down a bit. She is bordering on abusive and I really don't think that's who she is. I think it's a ploy for ratings.
