God Bless Our Troops

Saturday, November 28, 2009

Today is my 9th anniversary of quitting smoking. I never thought I could do it. But I did.

With Thanksgiving behind us, we officially kick off the Christmas 2009 season. One huge "to do" for me in the next week is to take stock of what I have bought for Christmas. I do it throughout the year and often forget what I've bought.

We have one more small (I think) craft show for this year. We ended up our year in the black, but just barely. We have stocking money, but I like to keep that separate.

Yesterday Clay, Claire, and I took down all of the Fall stuff inside the house and began putting up the Christmas decorations.

Word of the day:
Saturday of the Thirty-fourth week in Ordinary Time
Today the Church celebrates : St. James of the Marches, Franciscan Priest (1394-1476)
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 21:34-36.

Beware that your hearts do not become drowsy from carousing and drunkenness and the anxieties of daily life, and that day catch you by surprise like a trap. For that day will assault everyone who lives on the face of the earth. Be vigilant at all times and pray that you have the strength to escape the tribulations that are imminent and to stand before the Son of Man."
