It's hard to believe it, but 19 years ago today, Harold's dad died.  I had just finished playing the All Saints Day evening Mass.  When I got home, Harold's mom called and asked Harold to come over.  I'll bet all of the kids remember because we saw the emergency vehicles from the window.  We would never be able to see that now because our Joseph Tree blocks the view.  I can't believe 19 years have gone by since that traumatic night.

I slept in a bit (1/2 hour) because I had no kids to get on the bus.  I had Mass for the Feast of All Saints Day.  The kids are doing something different with the psalm and though I was nervous about it, they did a great job.  I love working with the school kids.

I got some things done yesterday, but I still have 13 more stockings to do.  Harold's Monday night card games have started up.  Monday night is my traditional quilting night, but it will have to wait for a bit - until after the shows.  I have compiled a list of chores that I can get done during the summer so that next year it won't be so cuckoo.

Don't forget to vote tomorrow!!!!

Word of the day:
All Saints - Solemnity
Today the Church celebrates : Solemnity of All Saints
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 5:1-12.

When he saw the crowds, he went up the mountain, and after he had sat down, his disciples came to him. He began to teach them, saying: Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land. Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you (falsely) because of me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven. Thus they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
