God Bless Our Troops

Today my Grandpa Caputo would have been 103 years old.  He was born on Palm Sunday, so his middle name was Palmerino.  I miss my grandparents.

I received my box from Deb at Springvale Soap.  I made a haul video.  When I started back in on You Tube, I didn't know about haul videos, but apparently, they are all the rage.  So Deb, this one's for you!

I should have made the video AFTER trying a bar of the soap.  It smells so nice and it's so creamy.
The bars are lightly fragranced so you don't have to worry about the scent clashing with whatever else you might be wearing.  I just loved the bar I tried.

Today I worked on some things for the Maple Syrup Festival.  Made 2 batches of candles - Lemongrass and Honey, Oats & Milk.  I also made room sprays.  Anna programmed my TV down there so I can watch Netflix through my WII console.  Ever since the digital switch, that TV has been useless.  Now I have company(of sorts) down in the dungeon.

I also measured out 4 batches of soap oils.  I had to spring for another pail of coconut oil.  I also had to order lye - so our resources are a bit strained until after the Festival.

Word of the day:
Monday of the Fifth week of Lent
Saint(s) of the day : St. Stanislas, Bishop and Martyr (1030-1079)
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 8:1-11.

Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
But early in the morning he arrived again in the temple area, and all the people started coming to him, and he sat down and taught them.
Then the scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery and made her stand in the middle.
They said to him, "Teacher, this woman was caught in the very act of committing adultery.
Now in the law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do you say?"
They said this to test him, so that they could have some charge to bring against him. Jesus bent down and began to write on the ground with his finger.
But when they continued asking him, he straightened up and said to them, "Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her."
Again he bent down and wrote on the ground.
And in response, they went away one by one, beginning with the elders. So he was left alone with the woman before him.
Then Jesus straightened up and said to her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?"
She replied, "No one, sir." Then Jesus said, "Neither do I condemn you. Go, (and) from now on do not sin any more."
