Melisa and Anna are getting the ingredients for our fall shows. We had hoped to go into the fall shows in the black, but it's not going to happen. The good news is that, at least for me, each time I stock up, I get a bigger quantity so that hopefully, next year we will start the year with money in the till.

The guys moved the cabinet downstairs so hopefully I will soon have a place to wash my hands and not need to run up and down the stairs. I am hoping that I can store the soaping oils over there. My project for this winter is to try and get that basement dungeon into some kind of order. (I know, I said that last year.)

Word of the day:
Saturday of the Twentieth week in Ordinary Time
Today the Church celebrates : St. Pius X, Pope (1835-1914)
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 23:1-12.

Jesus spoke to the crowds and to his disciples, saying, "The scribes and the Pharisees have taken their seat on the chair of Moses. Therefore, do and observe all things whatsoever they tell you, but do not follow their example. For they preach but they do not practice. They tie up heavy burdens (hard to carry) and lay them on people's shoulders, but they will not lift a finger to move them. All their works are performed to be seen. They widen their phylacteries and lengthen their tassels. They love places of honor at banquets, seats of honor in synagogues, greetings in marketplaces, and the salutation 'Rabbi.' As for you, do not be called 'Rabbi.' You have but one teacher, and you are all brothers. Call no one on earth your father; you have but one Father in heaven. Do not be called 'Master'; you have but one master, the Messiah. The greatest among you must be your servant. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled; but whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

I am in dire need of soaping workspace! My husband has promised his fall/early winter goal is to get a room just for me in the basement. Half of it is unfinished so we will be able to get a stove, slop sink, and all sorts of countertop and shelving! Sweet Soapy Haven - I'll dream of you until we meet . . .

Oh, I hear you! My workspace will still be a dungeon, but at least I won't have to go up and down the steps. But . . . it could be a while. It's almost time to get out into the fields.
