First of all, Happy Anniversary to my son, Sam and his wife, Kelli.  It's hard to believe that 4 years have gone by already!

Clay and Claire were here this morning.  Claire found out yesterday that she will be starting pre-school this fall.  Clay to Claire, "Claire, you are going to LOVE pre-school."  Hmmm,  Interesting.  I don't ever remember hearing him say HE loved pre-school.   Hahahaha

When my daughters and I were getting our little family business started, we didn't have a set direction, no focus. So when there was a sale, we stocked up on whatever we thought we could use. Eventually we settled in our theme - primitives, country wares, and country mixes. We now have a ton of stuff we will never use. It's good stuff, but it still takes up room. It needs to go. Some of the smaller things I will take to craft shows and give away as freebies to our favorite customers. (They're all our favorites, actually.) We have things like Christmas mugs, baskets, ornaments - a ton of stuff.  All of that stuff is down in the dungeon looking for a home.  This year I vow to get that dungeon in shape!!

Now that we have our focus, we know what to keep and what to give away.

Thursday of the Twenty-first week in Ordinary Time
Today the Church celebrates : St. Zephyrinus, Pope and Martyr († 217)
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 24:42-51.

Therefore, stay awake! For you do not know on which day your Lord will come. Be sure of this: if the master of the house had known the hour of night when the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and not let his house be broken into. So too, you also must be prepared, for at an hour you do not expect, the Son of Man will come. Who, then, is the faithful and prudent servant, whom the master has put in charge of his household to distribute to them their food at the proper time? Blessed is that servant whom his master on his arrival finds doing so. Amen, I say to you, he will put him in charge of all his property. But if that wicked servant says to himself, 'My master is long delayed,' and begins to beat his fellow servants, and eat and drink with drunkards, the servant's master will come on an unexpected day and at an unknown hour and will punish him severely and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth.
