Soon the strains of the bagpipes will be heard throughout Alma. Tonight begins the Alma Highland festival. On this weekend, Alma celebrates the Scottish Heritage upon which Alma college was founded. I've always loved the sound of bagpipes. The sound doesn't carry this far out in the country, but later we will be setting up our booth on the college campus and I will get my fill of hearing them.
I hadn't realized how much soap we sold at the Maple Syrup festival so we are short some of our popular spring scents. I have noted this for next year. :)
An update about the article concerning Bishop Cistone. I found this link.
It seems to answer some questions and concerns I had about this appointment. I knew there had to be more to the story and I'm glad someone posted this link.

Word of the day:
Friday of the Sixth week of Easter
Today the Church celebrates : St. Rita of Cascia
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 16:20-23.
Amen, amen, I say to you, you will weep and mourn, while the world rejoices; you will grieve, but your grief will become joy. When a woman is in labor, she is in anguish because her hour has arrived; but when she has given birth to a child, she no longer remembers the pain because of her joy that a child has been born into the world. So you also are now in anguish. But I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you. On that day you will not question me about anything. Amen, amen, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you.
