For the most part, I try to stay away from political topics in this blog, but something happened yesterday that I never thought would ever happen in America. Is this the America I love? I never thought I would see a day like this. I have to wonder how the police felt having to arrest this poor man. Whether you are Catholic or not, as a Christian this video should be cause for serious alarm.
In this month dedicated to our Blessed Mother, I can only wonder how her heart is breaking.
We are reaping what we have sown. Is this the change we hoped for? Lord have mercy. Lord have mercy. Kyrie Eleison
Today's Gospel reading is particularly relevant.

Word of the day:
Saturday of the Fifth week of Easter
Today the Church celebrates : St. Brendan, St Gemma Galgani
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 15:18-21.
If the world hates you, realize that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, the world would love its own; but because you do not belong to the world, and I have chosen you out of the world, the world hates you. Remember the word I spoke to you, 'No slave is greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours. And they will do all these things to you on account of my name, because they do not know the one who sent me.

"...every man did that which was right in his own eyes” (Judges 21:25)
Is there any doubt that we are living in the end times? How much long oh Lord, how much longer?
