Happy Labor Day all. It's hard to believe that today is the unofficial end of summer. Did we have summer? We had a few uncomfortably hot days, but that hardly constitutes a summer. I actually prefer autumn, but seasons should be what seasons are, don't you think?
This week's Flylady zone is the kitchen. Weren't we just there?????
Anyway, here is the Flylady info for today.
"We are in the Kitchen this week and we are going to work our way
through from top to bottom!!
Mission: look UP!
Today we are going to look up, set your timer for 10 minutes and take a broom or a
Swiffer and get those dusties and cobwebs that are hanging on the upper walls that are taller than you, the corners of the ceilings and the ceiling. If you are feeling adventurous ask someone in the house to help you and take a damp rag to the light fixture and/or ceiling fan. Please be careful!! Check out the top of your refrigerator as well. "
I have a ton of stuff to do today. I have to re-send an order because on of my customers received an empty package with a postal disclaimer on it saying that the package had been unsealed and box empty. Uh, I don't think so. That package did not just "come unsealed." Needless to say, the poor lady was not a happy camper. She will be getting a replacement package and the post office will be getting an earful and we will be taking a loss on this particular order.
We received a large order for stockings yesterday so those need to be done. I have to do the next cantor roster for the season, send in some craft show apps, make some grubby tarts, and this being Monday, I have laundry and bills to do. I also need to get started on farm taxes and our business taxes. Guess I'll be laboring on labor day. :)

Word of the day:
Monday of the Twenty-third week in Ordinary Time
Today the Church celebrates : St. Cloud, Priest (522-c.560)
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 6:6-11.
On another sabbath he went into the synagogue and taught, and there was a man there whose right hand was withered. The scribes and the Pharisees watched him closely to see if he would cure on the sabbath so that they might discover a reason to accuse him. But he realized their intentions and said to the man with the withered hand, "Come up and stand before us." And he rose and stood there. Then Jesus said to them, "I ask you, is it lawful to do good on the sabbath rather than to do evil, to save life rather than to destroy it?" Looking around at them all, he then said to him, "Stretch out your hand." He did so and his hand was restored. But they became enraged and discussed together what they might do to Jesus.

Did the deep clean on my kitchen not too long ago, so I just need to get in there and do some surface cleaning. In the bathroom, too. But I prefer to do this.
