No headache this morning when I woke up. I'm coughing a lot less. Now if my ear would just unplug things would be golden. I finally feel like I'm getting better.
Started off the morning with a staff meeting. Instead of reading a book to discuss, we are reading letters from the New Testament. Today's was James - a great letter to read a blueprint on how Christians ought to live.
I want to finish up the stocking order that we received the other day. I found a terrific buy on small baskets so I stocked up on those. Ever with the shipping they were cheaper (and nicer) than the baskets I've found at the dollar store.
Later I want to go down to the dungeon and do some work in there. Then I need to hit each room in increments because the mess and the clutter are really getting to me. I also have to finish getting my Christmas/Epiphany newsletter ready to mail , not to mention quite a few thank you notes.

Word of the day:
Thursday after Epiphany
Today the Church celebrates : St. Raymond of PeƱafort, Priest (c. 1175-1275), St. Lucian, Priest and Martyr (+ 312)
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 4:14-22.
Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news of him spread throughout the whole region. He taught in their synagogues and was praised by all. He came to Nazareth, where he had grown up, and went according to his custom into the synagogue on the sabbath day. He stood up to read and was handed a scroll of the prophet Isaiah. He unrolled the scroll and found the passage where it was written: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring glad tidings to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, and to proclaim a year acceptable to the Lord." Rolling up the scroll, he handed it back to the attendant and sat down, and the eyes of all in the synagogue looked intently at him. He said to them, "Today this scripture passage is fulfilled in your hearing." And all spoke highly of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his mouth. They also asked, "Isn't this the son of Joseph?"

I am glad to hear that you are finally starting to feel better. I love to study the book of James. I learn something new every time I read it.
Thanks, Ida. I've never been so sick for so long. It was nice to have a fairly normal day for a change.
