First of all, I hope my Neener Bean feels better soon!
Oh, I pity anyone who doesn't live in mid-Michigan today. This morning is Autumn at its finest. When I put Claire on the bus today, Mr. Tim wanted to order a bar of soap and a bottle of room spray. He told me to pick one I liked. Since he also mentioned that his wife planned to use the spray in the truck, I thought a unisex scent would be the best. I chose Apple Jack 'n Peel, which is my all-time favorite. I can remember exactly where I was the first time I ever smelled it. I was in JCPenney and they had some Apple Jack potpourri. I am very much affected by scents - they are memory triggers for me.
After getting Claire on the bus, I did two miles, down to Mike Moeggenberg's and back. The view was so beautiful - it felt like nothing could ever be wrong in the world. (Hmmm, there is a big turkey buzzard swooping around in the field east of the house. I can see him in my peripheral vision and it is very distracting.)
I came home and went to put Mr. Tim's order together. Since I will be getting Claire off the bus today, he will be getting his order sooner than he thought. (Okay, now there are two turkey buzzards and they are casting shadows as they swoop around.) I discovered that I didn't have any extra Apple Jack spray so I made some of that and also some Carrot Cake spray. I really need to start finalizing the putting together of our inventory for our craft shows. The biggest headache we have is lugging these big huge carts. I think I am going to start switching over to single drawers. Then we can lift 2 drawers at a time instead of 3 and there is less wear and tear on our bodies and on the carts.
This afternoon, Clair and I will take lunch to the field and then head to church to work on prayer quilts. I am enjoying this time with her. Next year she will be in school all day long and she will get on the bus with Clay. Once the guys are out of the field, I'd like to get back to having Sunday dinners.
Word of the day
Thursday of the Twenty-seventh week in Ordinary Time
Today the Church celebrates : Our Lady of the Rosary - Memorial, St. Mark, pope († 336)
Lk 1:69-70.71-72.73-75.
He has raised up a horn for our salvation within the house of David his servant,
even as he promised through the mouth of his holy prophets from of old:
salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us,
to show mercy to our fathers and to be mindful of his holy covenant
and of the oath he swore to Abraham our father, and to grant us that,
rescued from the hand of enemies, without fear we might worship him
in holiness and righteousness before him all our days.
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 11:5-13.
And he said to them, "Suppose one of you has a friend to whom he goes at midnight and says, 'Friend, lend me three loaves of bread, for a friend of mine has arrived at my house from a journey and I have nothing to offer him,' and he says in reply from within, 'Do not bother me; the door has already been locked and my children and I are already in bed. I cannot get up to give you anything.' I tell you, if he does not get up to give him the loaves because of their friendship, he will get up to give him whatever he needs because of his persistence. And I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. What father among you would hand his son a snake when he asks for a fish? Or hand him a scorpion when he asks for an egg? If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father in heaven give the holy Spirit to those who ask him?"

Oh this is so crazy - we call my daughter Neener Bean!!!
Her name is Corrina - which somewhere along the way got turned into a nickname of Nina - which then morphed to Neener - naturally the next step was Neener Beans!
Love it!
That is so funny.
Our daughter is Nicola. My Grandfather was Italian and called her Nicolina, which her sister morphed to Niconina and then Nina. She also goes by Neener McFeener Beaner, Neener Beaner, or just Neen Bean. Hahahaha
