My cutter should be coming today, but I don't think I'll get a chance to use it this week. It's Holy Week - a very busy time for church musicians. Tomorrow we go to the Cathedral to receive the blessed oils that are used throughout the church year. It's a long day because we also have RCIA tomorrow night. And then the week gets more hectic from there.
We are in the process of re-thinking our packaging. We don't want to make a big change because we like the labels that Anna makes. We just want something that will set us apart and reflect our "country" theme. I love all the pretty packaging I see on YouTube, but it's a bit too fancy to fit into our line. We'll save the fancy packaging for our heart soaps and cupcakes. This is what Anna and I came up with yesterday. The picture is a bit fuzzy, but you get the idea.
It's Monday so that means it's a Meg and Maddie day. But, we have a surprise for them because Madison's buddy Claire is also here this morning! They are Max and Ruby fans. As soon as Madison hits the door, she says Frooofy, which means Max and Ruby. It's fun having all the grandkids so close by!
Monday of Holy Week
Saint(s) of the day : St. Apollonius, Martyr (+ c. 186)
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 12:1-11.
Six days before Passover Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead.
They gave a dinner for him there, and Martha served, while Lazarus was one of those reclining at table with him.
Mary took a liter of costly perfumed oil made from genuine aromatic nard and anointed the feet of Jesus and dried them with her hair; the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil.
Then Judas the Iscariot, one (of) his disciples, and the one who would betray him, said,
Why was this oil not sold for three hundred days' wages and given to the poor?
He said this not because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief and held the money bag and used to steal the contributions.
So Jesus said, "Leave her alone. Let her keep this for the day of my burial.
You always have the poor with you, but you do not always have me."
(The) large crowd of the Jews found out that he was there and came, not only because of Jesus, but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead.
And the chief priests plotted to kill Lazarus too,
because many of the Jews were turning away and believing in Jesus because of him.

Love the packaging? Sticking with the shrink wrap then, huh? I think a clear cello bag with the sticker on it and a bit of homespun (instead of curly ribbon) to close it might look cute.
I checked out that giveaway and had interesting blog overload. LOL Looks like that are a lot that I want to see when I have a bit more time! Wish I could find a good team like that. The one I'm on seems rather pointless to me.

Oh, ha! I wasn't asking a question in that previous comment. I meant to exclaim "Love the packaging!" Duh me.
I also forget to mention that your grandkids are adorable, and how wonderful to have them so close and so often. My boys' grandparents aren't very involved. I hope if I have grandchildren someday, that I can be close to them and actively involved.

Deb, we had a fun morning until it was time for the 2 youngest ones to leave. Madison wanted to stay and play with Claire. I'm glad the cousins get to grow up near each other.
